Buying at Auction is an extremely popular method of making a purchase and we are proud of the wide variety of items we are able to offer our buyers. There is something intriguing about a range of unique items with a story to tell, combined with the exhilarating buzz of taking part.

Each month, we hold two auctions – our live webcast Antiques & Interiors sale (an interesting curated sale of fine art, antiques, jewellery, gold, silver, furniture and more), together with our Monthly Timed Auction of house clearance, useful items and more – a real Aladdin’s cave!

As Online-only auctioneers, viewing for our sales is by appointment only (from 15th June) – available as a 20 minute slot on the condition you have viewed our online catalogue first.

We accept payment by BACS and card and can arrange packing and dispatch.

how to bid

All our auctions are online-only, available by live webcast or timed format. We do not offer traditional bidding in-person, but the advantages of online bidding are many – how much better is it to be able to buy fabulous art and antiques from the comfort of your home? No travel, no hassle, just make a coffee and switch on your laptop! Enjoy our sales at your leisure!  To participate in our sales, visit (our online bidding partner) and register your account.

If you would like to bid via telephone, please contact a member of staff in our office who would be able to arrange this for you. Telephone bids must be booked by close of business on the day before the sale to ensure adequate time for processing. Telephone lines are reserved on a ‘first come, first served’ basis so early booking is always advantageous.

A secondary back-up number and a back-up commission bid are both good ways to ensure your bid is not missed. We will telephone you around 5 lots prior to the relevant lot to ensure a good connection.

If you can’t attend the sale and are also unable to bid live online, you can leave us with absentee commission bids to execute on your behalf. You can leave bids with us in the office prior to sale, or you can email or telephone bids through to us. Commission bids must be booked by close of business on the day before the sale. We cannot guarantee the execution of bids left after the start of the sale.

We email invoices to buyers immediately after auctions and prefer payment by BACS, but do also accept visa or debit card payments over the phone. We no longer accept cash or cheque payments. We offer a limited in-house packing service and also work with various delivery partners to dispatch your items, see below.

We offer a Jiffy-bag only in-house postal service for small items such as watches and jewellery. For all larger items we recommend Mailboxes Newcastle (T: 0191 222 0018 E: and Bradleys Antique Packing Services (T: 01325 281 332 E: For the shipping of furniture items we recommend Chris Watson Deliveries (T: 07793 240435) and Steve Martin (T: 07745 221213)
