At PFK we are extremely proud of the wide range of items that we are able to sell. Crucial to this is our understanding of the market and the differing buyers, marketing and selling strategies that different items need in order to sell effectively. Our Fortnightly Interiors and Fine & Rare auctions are specifically designed for selling and marketing different categories of items.
OUR FINE & RARE AUCTIONS
Our Fine & Rare Auctions showcase the very best items consigned to us for sale, encompassing a cross section of genres and media. To be included into a Fine & Rare sale, items must be fine or rare examples of their type and meet a minimum threshold value of £500.
Curated by us, items in our Fine & Rare auctions are pitched at a connoisseur buyer, with additional cataloguing detail, a higher standard of photography and a longer marketing window pre-sale.
These auctions are viewable three days prior to the sale, Saturday 9am – 12pm, Monday 9am – 5pm and Tuesday 10am – 6pm.
Fully illustrated catalogues are also available to view online around two weeks prior to the auction date with our live bidding partner website www.the-saleroom.com where you can also register to bid live online – from the comfort of your own home or on the move – for any lot in the auction.
In addition, printed catalogues are available for these auctions, costing £5 each (£7 by post). Please contact the office on 01768 890781 if you wish to receive one of these catalogues.

Buying at Auction is an extremely popular method of making a purchase. Striking a balance between the impersonal nature of some online shopping environments and the realities of retail shopping in person such as fighting for a parking space, and crowd jostling at peak times, the Auction provides an array of interesting items for purchase – and you can chose to participate online or in person.
There is something intriguing about a diverse collection of unique items, all with a story to tell, combined with the exhilarating buzz of taking part, as you place your bid and seek to secure a great value deal. Of course, you never know what you’ll find from one sale to the next – and lovers of the homogenised, on-demand retail culture may well find the concept of the auction unsettling – but this is part of the thrill; if you’re a collector of a certain item, the chase is as much fun as ownership itself.
At PFK we aim to provide a well-organised experience with plenty of atmosphere. Many of our clients repeatedly visit us, with our welcoming environment and home-made refreshments on site, the majority choose to stay with us for most of the day. Also….don’t worry, you can’t accidentally buy something if you scratch your nose, that really is a myth, so come along and enjoy the fun!
