A Statement from PFK Auctioneers – Final Auction ends 6th September

PFK Auction Department Statement

Covid-19 has created a challenging business environment and, as part of a wider restructuring process, the Board of Directors of Penrith Farmers’ & Kidd’s Plc have decided to close the company’s Auction department.

Michael Roberts, Head of Department, PFK Auctioneers will leave the company to accept a new role as Head of Fine Art & Furniture at Mitchells Auction Company, Cockermouth, succeeding Mark Wise who is moving to a part-time position.

From 10th August 2020, no new auction consignments, valuation or house clearance instructions will be accepted by PFK and instead will be referred to Mitchells.

All existing consignments held on site at PFK’s Skirsgill Saleroom, Penrith will be sold in a final Timed auction ending on 6th September.

All vendor accounts from this sale will be settled within usual timeframes and we would like to reassure vendors that we operate a separate Client Account.

Purchasers are requested to make arrangements to collect their goods promptly, whilst unsold items will either be returned to vendors or transferred to Mitchells for sale as appropriate.
