18th Century Lantern Clock

Booking all of our telephone lines, an 18th Century lantern clock didn’t disappoint at £9,000, beating all of our in-house records for a single clock! The previous record was held by a Japanese brass and elm Dai Dokie lantern clock at £1,900.

One clock authority has suggested that the clock may have been experimental and certainly was extremely rare! Found in the basement of a house clearance property by Head of Department Michael Roberts, the clock is our new house record price for clocks – the lantern clock is the most valuable clock we’ve ever sold.
