18th Century Parliament Clock

A stunning 18th Century Act of Parliament or Tavern Clock, consigned from the late G.K. Hadfield’s collection as a Fellow of the British Horological Institute, it had been sympathetically restored and stood proud on our saleroom wall.

With an intricate black-lacquered Chinoiserie case, it was made by William Mayhew of Woodbridge (1725-1791), dial measuring 70cm, the case 155cm high.

It sold to an internet bidder at £7,000.
